Fellowships & Grants

My research has been supported by competitive fellowships and grants advancing work on political parties, democratisation, peacebuilding, elections, and regional politics in Africa. I received the Social Science Research Council’s full sequence of Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa fellowships: Doctoral Dissertation Proposal, Research, and Completion Fellowships, supporting my study of one-party dominance and democratisation in the Tanganyika–Zanzibar Union. I have also been a Catalyst Fellow and Visiting Fellow at the University of Edinburgh’s Centre of African Studies, an African Studies Association–Carnegie Corporation scholar, APSA Research Development Group participant, and recipient of IFRA, InteRussia (MGIMO), and African Peacebuilding Network grants.
