My research explores peace, security and governance in East Africa, focusing on political exclusion, weak institutions, regional intervention and post-conflict reconstruction.
At the Institute for Security Studies, I worked across the Great Lakes region engaging governments, regional bodies and civil society. My monograph, Peace, Security and Governance in East Africa: 2023–2025, examines insecurity in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Somalia.
I also study the EAC force in DRC, mediation, youth participation, Zanzibar reconciliation and South Sudan peacebuilding, including early work.
